There’s so much more to gut health than just digestion.
The gut plays a central role in virtually every aspect of health – from how well nutrients are absorbed from the food we eat, right through to hormonal balance, immune function, skin conditions and even mental wellbeing. In fact, many common health concerns that people experience these days can be linked in some way to imbalances within the digestive system.
As a qualified and experienced naturopath, nutritionist and accredited health coach, Linda Back knows just how much of an impact gut health can have on wellbeing.
Linda is conducting this session as an approved provider for the Toowoomba Regional Council Change Project – an initiative designed to provide free and low-cost resources for improving community wellbeing.
During this interesting and informative session, Linda will be discussing:
- Why gut health matters
- Areas of the body that are connected to gut health
- Digestion 101 – the layers of the gut, and how these interact with each other
- Signs of an unhappy gut
- All about the ‘microbiome’ (gut flora) and how this works
- Practical nutrition and lifestyle strategies for a healthier, happier gut.
Whether it’s learning about decoding digestive symptoms right through to optimising overall wellbeing – understanding gut health is a great place to start.
